Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply, a student must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Reside in Maryland and MUST attend a target high school:
  
  • Allegany County: Fort Hill HS and Mountain Ridge HS
  • Baltimore City: Baltimore City College HS, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, or Bard Early College
  • Frederick County: Brunswick HS, Frederick HS, Gov. Thomas Johnson HS, and Tuscarora HS
  • Washington County: North Hagerstown HS and South Hagerstown HS
• Meet at least ONE of the following criteria: 
  • Be a potential first-generation college student (neither parent has a Bachelor's degree) OR
  • Have a TAXABLE family income that meets the criteria established by the US Department of Education

• Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the US (with documentation)
• Currently be in the 8th, 9th, or 10th grade
• Be between the ages of 13 and 17
• Have an interest in pursuing a mathematics or science career
• Demonstrate post-secondary/college potential
• Have a need for academic support to pursue a post-secondary education
